It can help you gain clarity, develop new perspectives, and cope more effectively with difficult situations.Psychotherapy is a form of treatment for mental health conditions such as depression or anxiety disorders and is provided by licensed psychotherapists. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who specialises in mental health, can make diagnoses, and prescribe medication when needed.Counselling does not replace psychotherapy or psychiatric treatment, but it can provide valuable support when you are seeking personal growth, navigating challenging situations, or looking for guidance and clarity.If, during our work together, it becomes clear that psychotherapy or psychiatric support may be beneficial, I will discuss this with you openly and support you in taking the next steps. This does not necessarily mean that our work together has to end. If you wish, we can continue working together alongside any additional treatment or support.

These include self-organisation, time management, self-regulation, and independent working.

You can share what’s on your mind, and together we clarify what you hope to gain from our work. You’ll receive some initial insights and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you. Afterwards, you can take your time deciding whether you’d like to continue.In subsequent sessions, we focus on your individual concerns, working towards greater clarity through practical steps and methods that fit into your everyday life. I introduce ideas and exercises tailored to your needs, while you are always welcome to bring up your own topics. Through regular, brief reflections, we revisit our focus and adjust it to what is most helpful for you.Our work together is flexible, personal, and guided by your own pace, with the aim of helping you develop greater clarity and confidence, one step at a time.

Is everything confidential?

Yes. Everything discussed during our counselling sessions is treated confidentially. The usual standards of confidentiality applicable to psychological counselling are observed.Only in exceptional circumstances, such as when there is an immediate risk of harm to yourself or others, may it be necessary to take further action or involve appropriate professionals or services. In such situations, I will aim to handle the next steps with you as transparently and responsibly as possible.

How much does a session cost and is it covered by basic health insurance?

The cost of a session depends on its duration and the specific service you choose. You can find the current prices transparently listed on the website.Psychological counselling and learning coaching are generally not covered by basic health insurance, as they do not constitute psychotherapeutic treatment. Therefore, the costs must usually be paid out of pocket.In certain cases, supplementary health insurance may cover part of the costs. However, this depends on your individual insurance policy. We recommend checking directly with your health insurance provider to clarify whether reimbursement is possible.
